✱✱ Book Review ✱✱ Looking for Love by Stella Starling

Sometimes a super sweet, sexy romance is exactly what you need. That's what I found with Stella Starling's newest release, Looking for Love.

Momma Says: 5 out of 5 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Looking for Love is wonderfully written in third person POV with chapters alternating between main characters, Micah and Zach. This is the second book in Starling's Semper Fi, The Forever Faithful series, but can easily be read as a standalone. It is MM and fits well into the Romance genre. Zach is in the Navy Medical Corp, so it can be considered a Military Romance, but there's little military talk in the book. It's also quite steamy, so I recommend 18+ readers.

Micah Finn Rawlings has lived most of his life blind, sheltered, and craving adventure. Now, at twenty-two, an operation has given him his sight back and he’s ready to take on the world.
Well, sort of.
His newly restored vision isn’t exactly all that he’d hoped it would be, but he’s definitely not going to let that stop him…. even if he does tend to trip over his own feet, have a slight problem with depth perception, and occasionally (okay, maybe a lot) get himself into situations that result in public embarrassment. Still, a few scrapes and bruises are a small price to pay for finally getting out there and living, and given that he has the best luck ever, even the most awkward moments tend to turn out pretty well in the end.
Proof? Tripping and falling at the feet of the hottest man he’s ever seen. A man who’s definitely interested in him, too.
Well… probably.
Maybe?
Actually, Micah has no experience whatsoever with such things and isn’t really sure, but a boy can hope, right
HMC Zach Hunter, Medical Corps, U.S. Navy is many things. A patient man. An adrenaline junky. A bisexual serial dater going through an extended dry spell.
Losing a few good men to an IED inspired a come-to-Jesus moment of clarity for Zach, and ever since, he’s been looking for love. Dating any- and everyone who sparks his interest in the hope of finding something that, frankly, he’s not entirely sure exists.
At least, not for him.
The only problem? There hasn’t been a spark. At least, not the kind Zach’s holding out for. He’s not discouraged, though. Zach has no problem putting in some effort for the things that matter, and he knows that all good things are worth the wait.

Besides, it’s not like he can expect love to just fall at his feet… right?

***

Looking for Love is one of those feel good, leave you with a smile romances. It's not all sunshine and roses; it does have some angst, but the story is more about Zach and Micah finding each other and holding on in spite of that angst. It is lengthy, but with Starling's writing style and gift for storytelling, the time seemed to fly by. This is not a book that you can read one chapter and put it aside - I didn't want to put it down.
Zach is a serial dater, always looking for that spark that leads to a lifetime love while Micah has never even had a romantic partner. Their different in so many ways, yet absolutely perfect together. Micah has an innocence about life that is sweet and endearing, and Zach has seen some of the worst things in life, but he's determined to be better than the examples set for him.
To say more would give spoilers and this is one that you need to read and enjoy for yourself. It is the second in the Semper Fi, The Forever Faithful series, which is a spin-off of the At Last, Beloved series, but you won't have any problem following Micah and Zach's story. Warning: once you've read this one, you'll want to read the others. The characters are addictive!

Looking for Love releases in ebook format July 27th and is available for pre-order on Amazon. The paperback version is already live on Amazon.

The rest of this series as well as other books by the author can be found on Stella Starling's Amazon Author Page.

Thanks for joining me! I have an audiobook for my next read, umm, listen? - haha, whichever.
