A Gifted Curse
The Cloven Pack Series Book 1
by D. Fischer
Genre: Paranormal Romance

If you had an extra sense, would you consider it a curse . . . or a gift? What if it stood in the way of everything you’ve ever wanted?

Makenna Goldwin has spent her life knowing she’s different. She was born cursed with a gift and blind to the true meaning of it. Alone and distrustful, she’s determined to survive in a world where she has no one, except herself.
As Alpha to the Cloven Pack, Evo Johnson has a duty to protect his wolves. He has every intention of keeping their race a secret, even if that means hunting down the deranged rogue shifter who is threatening to expose them.
When Evo and Makenna meet, the sparks fly, but neither one is ready to accept the truths that lay in front of them.
Warning: This book contains sexual content and adult language. Must be 18 years old to purchase.

FREE August 25th-28th!!

Momma Says: 4 out of 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐

A Gifted Curse is fast-paced and engaging read. The flow and plot are good, if a bit predictable, and the story does hold a reader's interest. Makenna and Evo are equally matched in the strong personality department, making for some amusing interactions and verbal sparring, as well as some scorching hot sexy fun. In addition to the blooming romance, we also get the added suspense of a rogue shifter that is linked to missing girls and now has his eye on Makenna. I particularly liked the interactions among Evo's pack, giving enough to get a feel for the secondary characters and their banter was great for keeping the story on the lighter side.

Caught in the Crossfire
The Cloven Pack Series Prequel

The Cloven Pack struggles through rough times with a sadistic Alpha. With no relief in sight, will they be able to find a way to rid themselves of this burden? Or will a life have to be sacrificed to save another?

Caught in the Crossfire, a short story Prequel to A Gifted Curse (The Cloven Pack Series: Book One), is a twisted tale of love and rebellion. Dive into the past with the Cloven Pack’s mated pair, Kelsey Rylend and Jeremy Tompkin, and discover what it holds.
Warning: This book contains sexual content and adult language. Must be 18 years old to purchase.

Momma Says: 3 out of 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐

This prequel is a very fast read and gives a brief insight into Evo's rise to alpha of the Cloven pack. We also get a glimpse into Kelsey and Jeremy's relationship, but the book is really too short to connect with the characters. Having read the first book in the series, I found it interesting to see what brought Evo back to challenge his father, but I was left feeling like something was missing. Overall, I suppose the book does serve its purpose, but, in my opinion, the story needed a bit more development to fully capture a reader's attention.

Momma Says: 4 out of 5 stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Book two in the Cloven pack series gives us some answers about Makenna's past and where she came from. In addition to that the sparks fly between Brenna and Ben. Brenna certainly handled things better than I would have. Ben's oblivion to what is right in front of him was quite infuriating and several times I wanted to shake him until his teeth rattled, but at the same time, I still liked him. The Cloven pack is very much a family and their banter and bickering is witty and fun. Especially Flint - I absolutely love Flint and his constant joviality. The story also has the building tension of pack enemies spoiling for a fight, be it in the open or of the sneaky sort, making for an exciting conclusion. Fischer has upped the game with this one, as it's even better than the first, and I'll be interested to see what's next for this endearing bunch of wolves.
