Calculated Risk is a great start to another page-turner of a series from Janie Crouch. This one focuses on one couple throughout the series, but we still get a conclusion at the end of the book, so it's a win-win, especially since I really want more of Bree and Tanner. This first book felt like it just touched the tip of the iceberg of their relationship, so I'll be interested to see what's next for them. As far as this book, we know what the big bad is but not everyone is who they seem, and the tension level steadily rises as the story progresses - something this author has proven quite good at. We even get a twist or two and a bit of heart-racing danger along the way to keep the blood pumping. To sum it up, Calculated Risk has everything I've come to expect from this author - suspense, danger, a thought provoking storyline, and a bit of romance to spice things up. I can't wait to see what's next for this couple.
