I'm the author of novels in several genres, including, mystery, thriller, and post-apocalyptic science fiction. Under the name A.R. Cunningham, I've also written the Arthur MacArthur series of mysteries for children. I was born in England, but have spent most of my life living in the U.S.—including 25 years on Cape Cod before moving to Florida. A former interpreter for the deaf and long-time independent bookseller, I've been a full-time freelance writer and copy editor for many years. A 4th-degree Master Black belt in Tang Soo Do, I finally retired from active training when my body said, "Enough already! Why are you doing this to yourself?" I'm married, with two grown children and two awesome grandsons. My wife and I spend as much time traveling as we can, and are especially fond of cruising the Caribbean. ​I have been gratified by the response to my books. When I published Eden Rising back in the spring of 2013, I had no idea what to expect. When I sold my first few copies, I was excited beyond belief that someone was willing to take a chance on it. Numerous books and thousands of copies later, I am still humbled by the emails I get from readers telling me that my books kept them up late into the night. Momma Says: 4 stars⭐⭐⭐⭐

This third book in Andrew Cunningham’s Lies series brings us back to Del and Sabrina, who stumble smack into the middle of another mystery. This time, they’re in Las Vegas, and we have a couple of mysteries, although our amateur sleuths don’t realize it at first, and of course, the two will intertwine to bring everything together.
I would say that Del and Sabrina are more lucky than good in their crime fighting, except they aren’t usually very lucky when it comes to avoiding danger and trouble. Nope, these two fall right into the thick of things, whether they want to or not. Bumbling or not, and Del certainly does his fair share of bumbling, this pair is certainly fun to read. Cunningham tempers the danger and tension with well-timed wit and sarcasm that is perfectly delivered by narrator, Greg Hernandez.
Speaking of our narrator, Greg Hernandez has been the voice of Del since book one in the series, and at this point, I can’t imagine anyone else doing it. In my mind, that’s what Del sounds like, and it works very well for the character. Hernandez isn’t flamboyant with the story, and it doesn’t feel like a performance. Instead, it feels like Del is telling us the story as it unfolds, and for this series, it works wonderfully.

All in all, Vegas Lies is a solid addition to the Lies series. I don’t know if future Del and Sabrina books are planned, but I do hope to see more of this witty duo.
